What Is Soma?
Soma is a medication you have probably heard of before. It is an FDA approved prescription medication used for the treatment of muscle spasms and muscle pain due to strains and sprains. It is available in several different milligrams to suit the needs of all patients, most commonly in the 350 mg dose.
How To Take Soma
Soma is taken orally by mouth. It can be taken up to four times per day, as needed, including once at bedtime. While there are several strengths available, the drug is most commonly prescribed in a 350 milligram tablet. Stomach upset can occur while taking the drug. To avoid stomach upset, the medication can be taken with food or milk. It is advisable to take with food.
Missed Doses
If you forget to take a dose of Soma, skip the dose unless it is within a couple of hours of the scheduled time to take it. Do not double up on the dose at the next scheduled time to take it. Doing so could cause serious problems including overdose.
Soma Side Effects
Anyone who takes Soma should be aware of the possible side effects that could occur. Most commonly reported by those who took the drug were drowsiness and dizziness. Other side effects that can occur include agitation, irritability, headache, insomnia, and depression. An allergic reaction is also possible while taking the drug. Get medical attention as soon as possible is you suspect you are having an allergic reaction to the drug.

Use Caution While Taking Soma
It is important to use caution when participating in any dangerous activity while taking Soma. This is especially true during the initial weeks of starting the drug. Alcohol can intensify the effects of Soma, and care should be used when mixing the two together. You should not operate a car or other dangerous machines until you know how the drug will affect you.
